Computer Science & IT

Information and Computing Sciences at 黑料社 is characterised by the fusion of strong and deep theoretical research in artificial intelligence, virtual reality, information systems, data science and analytics, cyber security and distributed computing. Computing research at 黑料社 is ranked in the world standard by Excellence in Research for Australia.

Research proximity to humanities, environmental studies, medical and biomedical researchers has led the development of new research intersections in digital humanities, intelligent infrastructure engineering, smart cities, global logistics and farming, and health research. Being on technology frontiers, Computing staff have led several multi-disciplinary and multi-partner projects in the area of agriculture, health and wellbeing to address UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Sri Lanka, India and Africa. This is translated to innovative and student-focused curriculums which are embedded into professionally accredited undergraduate, postgraduate and research courses, with several recognitions by Australian Computer Society (ACS).
